The Northern Tablelands of N.S.W. has a diversity of landscapes uniquely different. From bush farming land to mountains, rivers and world heritage rain forests. Growing up in this region captivated and inspired this album of programmatic piano solos.
My creative process is not to adhere to accepted compositional practises, instead create an aural soundscape, transporting the audience to the region via emotive manipulation of atmospheric sounds, sharing the experience. Transcribing natures sounds are not without challenges, the ebb and flow of water to the distinct calls of native birds.
